Son Ye-jin feels emotional after receiving a ton of flowers, gifts on her 39th birthday
Describing Korean actress Son Ye-jin as popular is an understatement.
One of South Korea's top leading ladies, Ye-jin has cemented her place as one of the best talents of her generation and her stardom rose to greater heights via her hit romcom series Crash Landing On You, which also stars Hyun Bin, her co-actor turned boyfriend.
On Thursday, January 14, Ye-jin took to Instagram to share her profound appreciation after receiving a deluge of gifts, flowers, and cakes enough to fill a whole room on her birthday. She turned 39 last January 11.
She wrote on Instagram, “It's my first time to receive this much.... so many flowers cakes and presents on my birthday.
“AH....This is very surprising and touching.
“And also received big congratulations with my 20th debut celebration.
“So I thought I must have spent a very valuable 20 years.
“I can be proud of myself and I can feel I'm such a lucky person. You made me feel this way.”
The Korean star added, “I can start the year with your warmth and big cheer so I'm very excited and overwhelmed.
“How can I share my thankful heart to you guys...
“I hope this year will be kinder to everyone.”
On the first day of the New Year, the management companies of Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin, VAST Entertainment and MSteam Entertainment, issued separate statements about the news that their talents are dating.
According to VAST Entertainment, “We would like to make our official announcement regarding the news of Hyun Bin reported earlier today.
"Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin formed a relationship through work which developed into lovers with good feelings after their drama ended.
"Please send your warm attention to them and your support."
For MSteam Entertainment, they encouraged everyone to support Bin and Ye-jin with their relationship.
“We would like you to release our official position regarding the news between Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin which was released today.
"The two built a friendship through their work, and after their drama ended, they started to meet each other with good feelings, and developed into a relationship.
"Please look upon them warmly and support them so they can continue meeting each other well."
Telecom endorsers
Last year, Son Ye-jin was chosen to become the newest face of Philippine telecom giant Smart Communications.
Prior to this, Hyun Bin was tapped to lead the Smart Ako Campaign in June 2020.
The couple also made noise when they brought home the Popularity Award in the 2020 Baeksang Arts Awards.
