LOOK: Maine Mendoza brings Arjo Atayde to her brother's wedding

By Aedrianne Acar

Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde look perfect together during the wedding of Maine's brother, yesterday, January 21.

The Daddy's Gurl star was seen wearing a red-colored dress channeling her inner Rosalinda. Her Instagram post has gotten over 244,000 likes in a span of five hours.

Kapuso primetime star Carla Abellana portrayed Rosalinda in the Pinoy-adaptation of the hit Mexican telenovela series in 2009.

She was paired then with Geoff Eigenmann and it was directed by the late Maryo J. de los Reyes.

Several celebrities reacted to the photos of Maine Mendoza including Rosalinda herself Carla Abellana, stylist Liz Uy, and comedian Jerald Napoles.

Second anniversary

Maine and Arjo marked their 2nd anniversary together with a beach trip in December 2020.

Last March 2019, the Eat Bulaga host openly admitted that she's in a relationship with the Kapamilya actor.

Maine Mendoza also opened up about her relationship with the mestizo actor, December of the same year.

During her interview with the press for the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity, the actress-comedian shared that she sees spending her future with Arjo.

But she stressed that tying the knot is far from her mind, as well.

“Siyempre, hindi naman tayo magsasayang ng oras na kasama 'yung mga taong hindi natin gustong makasama habambuhay."

“Mahirap din kasi, kaming magkakapatid, e, sunud-sunod. 'Yung kuya ko muna 'tapos 'yung isa ko pang ate 'tapos ako, so feeling ko mga 28 [years old].

"May dalawa pang kailangang ikasal. Tama lang kasi ang marrying age ko is 28."

If you remember, early part of 2020, the hashtag "NoToArjoTheUser” trended on Twitter.

But, the AlDub star quickly defended her boyfriend by tweeting this message, “Wow, some 'fans' made #NoToArjoTheUser trend today. Congrats! But I say #YesToArjo.”

Last month, Maine Mendoza's mom asked the help of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in connection with an alleged sex video involving her daughter, which Maine had vehemently denied.

In a strongly worded statement, All Access to Artists Inc (Triple A) wanted to clear Maine Mendoza's name with regard to the malicious post being linked to her.

“All Access to Artists Inc and Ms. Maine Mendoza hereby inform the public that the said video is fake.

“It has been digitally manipulated using deepfake technology.

"Ms. Mendoza is not involved in the said video neither does she participate in the making of pornographic and other explicit materials.”

Triple A also appealed to the public not to repost the said “fake video” and they are determined to hold the people behind the ludicrous post accountable. They also said that the video is intended to besmirch the reputation of Mendoza.

“The public is warned not to post, share, or otherwise circulate the video. We will not hesitate to take appropriate legal action against any person circulating the same.

“We intend to hold those individuals criminally and civilly liable for the damage caused to Ms. Mendoza.”
