SHAWOLs were treated to the nines yesterday, January 31, as K-pop boy group SHINee performed songs and shared upcoming details about their latest album.

The group first greeted fans with a performance of their song “Good Evening” from their 2018 full-length album The Story of Light. Members Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin wore dashing suits while performing the track that raised anticipation from fans worldwide.

Following the performance, the group then met their fans in a separate set where they spoke about what they've been up to for the past few months.

Members Onew, Key, and Minho shared stories following their discharge from the military. At the same time, Taemin narrated how jampacked his schedule was with his back-to-back solo endeavors and as a member of SuperM.

Taemin added, “But I'm thrilled that the members are back.”

They then upped the ante by performing a medley of their solo stages, starting with Taemin's track “Idea,” followed by Minho's “I'm Home,” Key's “Imagine,” and finally Onew's “Sign.”

The solo stages showcased each of the SHINee members' exceptional talent that ranges from vocals, dance performances, and stage presence.

In the second part of the live broadcast, the K-pop boy group then shared more details of their upcoming album and its title track by giving out clues that included a phone with an “x” mark on it, an intercept message, a framed book, and a rose.

Taemin mentioned that he loved the title track so much that it reminded him of their 2012 single “Sherlock” and that Onew's dance moves made him feel like a “laundry in a washing machine.”

Moreover, the group invited their fans to send them messages by calling the numbers +82 70 7103 0525 (for international callers) starting January 31 until February 8.

And finally, to hype their full comeback, the group announced that their album's release will be on February 22, 2021, and will have the B-side track titled “Marry You,” which they performed as a closing performance of the show.

“Marry You” is a romantic pop ballad that talks about the singer's intention to marry the love of his life.

The lyrics go, “I don't know if this might sound crazy / So you can't run off to somewhere / Give me your fourth finger / Girl I wanna marry you / Right here, right now yeah / I wanna marry you.”

Following their successful broadcast, SHINee had updated their social media platforms by changing their profile, and cover images that offered fans more teasers for their comeback come February 22.
