He quickly became a trending topic on Philippine Twitter as of 2 p.m. on February 5, two hours after his album was released on digital streaming platforms.

On February 1, Lay also released the official studio version of his solo track "Joker," which became viral after he performed the song on Chinese reality singing competition show I'm CZR Ⅱ April last year.

Lay's original performance of the track got over a million views, and then went viral on TikTok early last year. The song has garnered over 68 million views on the video streaming platform.

"Joker" is the first single off his new album, "PRODUCER," which features studio versions of all his songs from I'm CZR Ⅱ.

Lay released his fourth solo album "Lit" late last year, which is a fusion of traditional Chinese music and contemporary pop. The album was also awarded the Most Popular Digital Album of the Year at the second annual Tencent Music Entertainment Awards.
