Joyce Pring prepares to go on maternity leave

Joyce Pring looks forward to a long rest before popping and giving birth to her first child with Juancho Trivino.

Joyce and Juancho announced their pregnancy on their first wedding anniversary in February 2021.

While the couple navigates through their journey to parenthood during the COVID-19 crisis, the two Kapuso stars continued with their work and commitment in the new normal. For the expecting mom, it meant doing her hosting stints and podcasts in between her prenatal exercises and attending to her husband.

As Joyce enters the last stretch of her pregnancy, however, she wishes to focus more on her and their baby. She shared on her Instagram post today, April 15 that she intends to go on maternity leave.

“Morning walks. I have started the grueling process of preparing for maternity leave. We basically have to prepare 60 episodes of all the shows I'm currently hosting. So I've been shooting, recording, going live, and doing everything else so I can hopefully take 12 weeks off (or at least 12 weeks with a MUCH lighter schedule).”

While her to-do list appears to be overwhelming, Joyce clarifies that she isn't pressuring expecting moms to be overly productive.

“This isn't a post to glorify working A LOT during pregnancy. I'm grateful to God that I've been having a relatively easy pregnancy that has allowed me to work and workout and be fully present - even on tough days. But I know it's not the same for all women.

“So this is a reminder that we all go through our journeys on different paths, varying intensities, and diverse timelines. It really doesn't help to compare ourselves to others -- we must focus on our own pilgrimage, focus on the path ahead, and bask in the joys & challenges of the present.

“May God bless you and be with you, whatever season you're in right now.”

Recently, Joyce went out on a date with Juancho that are both safe for them and their baby despite the ongoing health crisis.
