Ben&Ben and Korean artist Young K of Day6 collaborate on 'Leaves'

Filipino nine-piece folk band Ben&Ben announced that they are collaborating with Day6 bassist Young K. Ben&Ben and Young K are releasing a remake of the OPM band's 2017 single, "Leaves."

Ben&Ben shared on Twitter, "We reimagined 'Leaves' this year with a surprise collaboration from an artist we really love, Young K from the band Day6. In these times, the message that 'all will be alright in time' is more relevant than ever, all over the world. We hope you like it!

The project marks Young K's first musical project with a Filipino band. Their "Leaves" collab will be out this Friday, May 28.

Ben&Ben recently released two new singles, "Upuan" and "Magpahinga" from their upcoming second album. The group is also celebrating their fourth anniversary this May.

The group also caught the attention of Grammy and Oscar-winning Filipino-American singer H.E.R., who mentioned how she wanted to work with Ben&Ben for a music collaboration someday.

In a 24 Oras report of Nelson Canlas on May 26, a clip showed Ben&Ben's recent online conversation with H.E.R.

"I'm so happy to be speaking with you, guys. Maybe we gotta collaborate on something. I gotta hear some music," she told Ben&Ben.

Young K and his band Day6 visited the Philippines pre-pandemic in 2019 for the Manila leg of their "Gravity" tour.
