Manilyn Reynes is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19!
Multi-awarded comedienne Manilyn Reynes shared the exciting news last Tuesday, June 15, that she already got her second dose of the Sinovac CoronaVac vaccine.
In a previous interview with GMANetwork.com, Mane stressed the importance of getting your COVID-19 shots as soon as possible, especially those who are still having second thoughts about getting one.
The Kapuso actress explained, “'Yung iba may kanya-kanyang desisyon, pero sana po 'yung katulad nang sinabi ni Bitoy--huwag na tayo maghintay.
“Huwag natin isipin na, 'Hindi! Ano na lang din [hintayin ko] muna 'yung kung ano mangyayari sa kanila kapag nagpaturok sila',
“Hindi po ganun. Dapat po protektado tayo. Sana lang, sana all.”
With the total number of COVID-19 infections in the country reaching 1,332,832 as of June 16, the government is ramping up its efforts to inoculate more people to achieve herd immunity within the year.
Based on the data provided by the Department of Health (DOH), over 6.9 million doses have already been administered as of June 13.
The good news is, 1,879,694 individuals have already gotten their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento
In other news, GMA-7 is already gearing up for the upcoming prequel of its flagship sitcom Pepito Manaloto, after it was officially announced on 24 Oras yesterday, the lead stars who will be playing the young Pepito and Elsa.
Bubble Gang comedian Sef Cadayona bagged the title role of Pepito, while Mikee Quintos was handpicked to portray Elsa.
Sef told Chika Minute that the whole team behind Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento are very supportive to them, making them less nervous doing the project.
“Hindi nila tayo binigyan ng pressure, no? Actually, parang nagbigay pa nga sila na huwag kayo mag-aalala, iga-guide namin kayo.”
“They're very supportive, the original cast when we actually did the story con. Nakasama po namin [sina] Tito Lhar nung nagka-storycon kami and we got the chance to ask a few questions about the characters na we're gonna play and naging very welcoming naman sila.” echoed Mikee.
