Korean actor Ji Chang-wook tests positive for COVID-19

K-drama fans are saddened by the news circulating in Korean entertainment sites that Empress Ki actor Ji Chang-wook tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the Korean entertainment site Soompi, a source from his agency Glorious Entertainment revealed to SPO TV News that Chang-wook is under quarantine after testing positive for the highly-contagious disease.

The Korean heartthrob was in the midst of shooting the Netflix original series “The Sound of Magic.”

Last week, the South Korean entertainment industry was rocked by several news reports that K-pop idols were also infected.

TREASURE members Doyoung and Jung-hwan were reported to have tested positive for COVID-19, as well as BTOB's Minhyuk.

As of July 26, South Korea has tallied 190,166 cases of COVID-19 infections with 2,077 people dying from the dreaded virus.
