Olympic weightlifting champion Hidilyn Diaz doesn't consider Nesthy Petecio's silver medal a defeat, but something to be celebrated by the whole country.

Both women etched their names in Philippine history by leading the country's campaign to win multiple medals in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. It was 89 years ago during the 1932 Los Angeles games that PH team accomplished the same feat.

Gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz took to Facebook to congratulate Nesthy for all her hard work.

She also posted a video message to celebrate her huge accomplishment, too.

Love you.”

Meanwhile, Petecio is enjoying the fruits of her hard labor this morning by flexing her shiny medal for the world to see.

Right after her finals bout with Sena Irie, the boxing champ apologized for not adding another gold to the medal haul of Team Philippines, but vowed to come back stronger.
