'Family History' climbs to second spot on Netflix Philippines top movies
Multi-awarded comedian and content creator Michael V. is in cloud nine because of the huge support of Pinoy viewers on his directorial debut film, Family History, on Netflix Philippines.
On his Twitter account, the Bubble Gang pioneer happily told his followers that Family History is already on the second spot of the top ten films in the streaming platform.
He posted, “#2 sa Netflix Top 10 movies!
“'Pag pinanood n'yo 'to ng 46x malamang mag-number one 'to!”
In an interview with "Chika Minute," actor-director Michael V. said he's considering to do a sequel for the movie.
He said “Funny you ask that kasi [laughs] noong una wala, e. Sabi ko Family History is Family History, tapos na yung kuwento.
"Pero nag-uusap kami recently ni misis, ni Ayoi [Miss Carol Bunagan], kasi kasama siya sa nag-produce. She came up with an idea na I'd love to share with you guys. So yes, I will do it.”
Family History was a joint production between GMA Pictures and Michael V.'s production company, Mic Test Entertainment
When it was shown in July 2019, it was graded “B” by the Cinema Evaluation Board.
Family History also received the “Natatanging Pelikulang Pampamilya” special award at the 4th Guild of Educators, Mentors and Students (GEMS) Awards in February 2020.
