As local celebrities express their sympathies and shock over the death of 46-year-old actress and comedienne Mahal, or Noeme Tesorero in real life, netizens share their grief from the sad news.

Many were touched when Mahal, along with Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, visited her former onscreen partner Mura or Allan Padua, who has been living in his hometown Guinobatan, Albay to help Mura after he left and took a break from showbiz since 2010 following an accident.

During the KMJS episode, Mahal told Mura, "Hanggang sa tumanda ako, uugod-ugod, s'yempre pupunta pa rin ako rito. 'Pag may racket, aalok kita, okay? Kapag halimbawa nawala ako sa mundo, mayroon akong konting naitulong sa 'yo,” she said.

"RIP Mahal" and "Mura" trended on Twitter after news of Mahal's passing broke out on August 31.

Netizens also recalled Mahal's travel to Albay, where she had to walk for over an hour to reach Mura's house. Mahal extended help to her former onscreen partner, gave groceries, and cash to help Mura's small family business.

One netizen tweeted, "The last mission of mahal is to help her long time bestfriend. RIP MAHAL."

While Mahal's exact cause of death has not been confirmed, the comedienne's sister Irene Tesorero said Mahal had tested positive for COVID-19 and passed away in a hospital in Batangas.
