In August 2020, Mikey Sutton revealed that he was working on his comic which features Kate as the main character.

After suffering from a stroke and getting hospitalized, he accidentally discovered the Kapuso actress through the GMA-7 show Onanay that his mother was watching at the time.

Sutton's project began when he met Noel Layon Flores, GMA's Lead Visual Designer of Encantadia (2016) and the upcoming Voltes V: Legacy, and they both wanted to make a comic book featuring a “Filipina protagonist with extraordinary superpowers.”
