Claim it! 'Conyo Girl' Rain Matienzo manifested being an 'artista' in throwback post

Let's talk about the power of manifestation.

A few days after officially signing with the Kapuso network, TikTok sensation Rain Matienzo posted old conversations where she was talking about her desire to be an “artista.”

“Pag naging artista ako ike-keep ko 'yong name na Rain,” she told someone.

Another entry written in 2016 said, “Sige sir 'pag artista na ko, malapit na malapit na.”

She also wrote jokingly in 2018, “'Pag artista na ko magsisisi sila.”

Rain posted the old conversations, labeling it “the manifestations,” and put it beside a photo of her taken during her contract signing with GMA Network during the weekend and marking it “the fulfillment.”

The contract signing event titled “Signed for Stardom” was the biggest contract signing event spearheaded by GMA Artist Center and was shown in the hit weekend variety show All-Out Sundays on September 5.

Aside from Rain, the other artists (longtime Kapuso stars and newbies) who signed contracts with the network were Mark Herras, Pauline Mendoza, Ashley Ortega, Faye Lorenzo, Therese Malvar, Vaness Del Moral, Analyn Barro, Lucho Ayala, Sherilyn Reyes-Tan, Luane Dy, Jose Sarasola, Martin Javier, Patricia Tumulak, Claire Castro, Alexandra Yap, Julia Pascual, Sandro Muhlach, Saviour Ramos, Lala Vinzon, Denise Barbacena, Shemee Buenaobra, Gab Yabut, Sebastian Pajarillo, Levince Sotto, Kimson Tan, Migs Villasis, Jamir Zabarte, Ashley Alcayde, Carlo San Juan, Lei Angela, Coleen Paz, Bryce Eusebio, Gabrielle Hahn, and Shanelle Agustin.

“Officially signed with @ArtistCenter! My heart's brimming with excitement to be welcomed into this team, so thankful to my bosses for all the opportunities and for what's yet to come,” Rain wrote on Twitter following the signing.

Rain rose to fame via TikTok when her comedic and hilarious skits as a “Conyo Girl” went viral and earned praises from users of the popular social network platform.

As for her dream Kapuso leading man, Rain mentioned heartthrob and Voltes V: Legacy lead star Miguel Tanfelix.

“I think it's time na makilala ko na siya. Si Miguel Tanfelix talaga ang celebrity crush ko,” Rain told GMANetwork.com.

“What's not to like diba? I love morenos. Gusto ko talaga 'yung mga itsurang Pinoy na Pinoy and parang siya talaga 'yun eh. Nanonood kasi ako ng mga serye niya and 'pag-iiyak siya sa mga leading lady niya parang, 'Wait lang iyakan mo rin ako.'”

A Rain-Miguel onscreen pairing in the future? Who knows.

If there's something that Rain has proven to us, it's that dreams do come true.
