Korean singer and actress IU celebrated her 13th anniversary in the music industry by donating to the less fortunate.

According to her agency EDAM Entertainment, IU collaborated with the companies she endorses to donate 850 million Korean Won or $721,758.55 worth of goods and healthcare supplies to charities.

The donation list includes 1,000 pairs of New Balance sneakers for teenagers living at shelters; 2,000 Banolim pizzas for minors in shelters; 2,000 coats and winter clothes from BLACKYAK for minors in shelters; 300 Evezari blankets and bedding for health centers; 2,000 first aid kits from Kyungdong Pharmaceutical for health centers; and 30,000 bottles of Jeju Samdasoo water for health centers.

EDAM Entertainment stated: "IU, who's attached enough to use the brands she advertises, wanted to donate day-to-day necessities to good places for her anniversary. IU proposed the offer to each brand, and she'll also be personally contributing half the cost of the goods." This means IU will be personally donating 425 million Korean Won or $360,826.91.

IU made her debut on the music show M Countdown on September 18, 2008, with her single "Lost Child." She has dominated the industry since then, having sold-out concerts and lead roles in high-rating dramas such as Scarlet Heart and Hotel del Luna.
