If you've been spending time on Netflix these days, you've probably come across Korean survival drama series Squid Game.

Written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, Squid Game tells the story of a group of people, 456 in all, who are struggling financially in life. They compete in a series of traditional children's games for ₩ 45.6 billion or (US$38.5 million) with only one person emerging as winner. The games might be based on kids' games but there are plenty of deadly twists and turns.

Aside from its captivating plot, one of the possible factors that added to the show's success is its stellar cast featuring Park Hae-soo (Quantum Physics), Heo Sung-tae (Reply 1994), and Wi Ha-jun (Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum), among others.

Included in the show's cast is Player 276, portrayed by Filipino actor and teacher Chris Chan or Christian Lagahit, a Filipino working in South Korea as an English teacher.

Chris has documented his experience working on the set of Squid Game through his Instagram and posing with the show's cast clad in his green tracksuit.

Though the Squid Game just premiered through on September 17 with nine episodes, fans are already clamoring for a second season. It's no surprise since the series got so much buzz on social media, landing on the top spot in Netflix Korea and on the second spot worldwide during its first week, according to FlixPatrol. For the meantime, no final details have been revealed about a second season.
