By Jimboy Napoles

Days after the finale episode of Korean series “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” a woman claiming to be the ex-girlfriend of Kim Seon-ho posted online an accusation that Seon-ho forced her to have an abortion last year.

After the controversy circulated online the scheduled interviews and advertisement shoots of the Korean actor have been postponed.

The actor's agency, Salt Entertainment released a statement informing the public that they are currently checking the factual grounds of the anonymous post.

Meanwhile, many Pinoy fans of the Korean actor took to Twitter to express their reactions and support to their “Good boy” idol making #ProtectKimSeonHo a top trending topic on Twitter Philippines.

One netizen said “To the good boy we know that became a real-life Dusik overnight, I believe that there will always be different sides of the story. But I hope you're okay, if not, I hope one day you'll be. Just hang in there. We'll hear you out. #ProtectKimSeonHo”

Another pinoy fan expressed her support to Seon-ho stating “I've read the article about the issue and their statements. My take is private/personal matters shouldn't have gotten to the point of exposing it publicly unless you have a bad motive to destroy someone's reputation.#ProtectKimSeonHo #GoodBoy “

Also on Facebook, some Pinoy fans expressed support to the Korean actor. According to Angelica Lim, she believes that sometimes media politics can destroy people.

“Dear Good Boy,

Im a fangirl from Manila, and the circulating rumors about you really made me sad... Sometimes the media politics gets extreme and it destroys beautiful people like you.

We believe you are the good boy we knew.

We hope that truth will prevail, and the false accusations and lies will end soon.

We pray that you will be strong amidst everything because we are all here for you.

God bless you and saranghaeyo!”

Meanwhile, Kim Seon-ho broke his silence and released a public apology. It reads:

“This is Kim Seon Ho. I sincerely apologize for the belated statement. I experienced a fear that I felt for the first time after the article with the mention of my name was released a while ago, and that is why I am writing this now.

I was seeing her with good emotions. In that process, I hurt her due to my carelessness and inconsiderate actions.

I wanted to meet and apologize to her directly, but I am not able to properly convey the apology now and am waiting for that time to come. For now, I would like to genuinely apologize to her through this statement.

I apologize for also disappointing all of those who trusted and supported me until the end. It was all thanks to those who supported me that I was able to become the actor Kim Seon Ho, but I had forgotten that.

I apologize for causing trouble to my co-stars and all of the related staff who worked with me due to my flaws. I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone who was hurt.

I am aware that this rambling statement will not fully reach your hearts, but I am still attempting to convey my sincere thoughts. I am very sorry.”

A fan of Seon-ho also encouraged the public to stop spreading fake news that will affect the actor's reputation.

According to a report from Soompi, Kim Seon-ho will be leaving KBS2's variety show “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4” in light of forced abortion controversy.
