Kate Valdez stays a Kapuso!

The Kapuso actress remains loyal to her home network as she renewed her management contract with GMA Artist Center.

Kate has been with GMA Network for more than six years. She rose to fame when she played the role of Mira in the Encantadia prequel in 2016 and the rival sister of fellow Kapuso artist Barbie Forteza in the GMA Telebabad series Anak ni Waray Vs. Anak ni Biday.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, the actress stated that she is grateful and honored for the trust and support that GMA has given her through the years.

"Sobrang nagpapasalamat po ako and I feel so grateful na binigyan ulit nila ako ng chance na makapag-work ng ilang years pa sa GMA and mag-inspire pa ng maraming tao, magampanan pa ang admiring and challenging roles," she said.

As she continues her journey as a Kapuso artist, Kate mentioned that she still wants to play kontrabida roles for she enjoys the art of being the antagonist in a series.

"Actually po gusto ko pa ring i-continue na mag-portray ng mga kontrabida roles kasi na-enjoy ko na siya. Before nu'ng mga una pa, natatakot pa ako dahil sa mga comments ng mga viewers pero ngayon I know how to handle it na," she claimed.

Kate joins the cast of the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series Stories from the Heart: Love On Air starring Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos.
