PENTAGON'S Kino tests positive for COVID-19

On Wednesday, November 24, K-pop fans were shocked after news broke out that BLACKPINK member Lisa was diagnosed with COVID-19.

South Korea is battling a surge in coronavirus cases, which now stands at 429,002 cases as of November 25. Meanwhile, the number of deaths has reached 3,401.

Now, several Korean entertainment websites have reported that PENTAGON'S Kino also contracted the highly contagious virus.

Soompi released the full statement from Kino's agency Cube Entertainment, wherein they stated that they took some preemptive measures after an external instructor who visited their office turned out positive.

“PENTAGON's Kino was diagnosed with COVID-19 today (November 25).

On November 24, an external instructor who visited the Cube Entertainment office tested positive for COVID-19, and as a preemptive measure, we conducted a COVID-19 PCR test on all employees, including individuals who entered the building.

The following day, Kino was diagnosed with COVID-19, and he is currently following the guidelines of the health authorities.

Meanwhile, PENTAGON members Jinho, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeowon, Yan An, Yuto, and Wooseok have received negative confirmed results. However, we will determine their future activities according to the health authorities' quarantine guidelines.

We will do our best for the health and safety of artists by complying with the health authorities' prevention guidelines.”
