Kris Lawrence talks about his upcoming album and that 'harana' scene in Magpakailanman

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com during the taping of the said scene last January 21, Kris shared his thoughts on how the harana happened in real life, as well as details about his upcoming album.
"We were rocky at that time," pagsisimula ni Kris when asked kung kailan naganap ang panghaharana niya, "We were going through a rough time. This was after what happened, when she wanted distance from me. I kept telling her that I think it's better if I'm by your side through this thing."
Valentines' Day daw nang maisipan ni Kris na gumawa ng something special para kay Katrina. "I planned this dinner for two. Initially I was looking for a building, so I found one at The Fort. Iaakyat ko 'yung baby grand piano doon sa helipad. I was going to put the piano in the middle of the helipad, and there were four rows of tea light candles shaped in a heart around the piano, and next to the piano was a table for two with all her favorite food. 'Yung PA at driver ko were supposed to be the waiter and waitress, parang ganun."
Hindi daw naituloy ni Kris ang planong ito dahil aside sa naging windy noong araw na iyon ay ayaw sumama sa kanya ni Katrina. It took a while before he convinced his girlfriend to come with him to his house, kung saan nila nilipat ang romantic dinner. "Buti na lang malaki 'yung sala [ng bahay ko], so sabi ko doon na lang. We went to the house, and I remember as soon as I opened the door, I heard the saxophones, the harps playing, it was magical. After dinner, I got her up, and I told her 'I wrote you a song [Sabihin Mo Naman], and I want to sing it for you. I want you to feel it, because over the past couple of weeks, this is how I've been feeling.' So I sang her the song, we talked for a bit, and that's it.
"
How did Katrina react to such a grand gesture? "It was good enough for me, because you can see that it took away whatever stress she was feeling at the moment. She pulled me close, and she's like 'ikaw naman kasi', hitting me in a malambing way. For me, that was good enough," says Kris.
He was also very excited to share details about his upcoming album under GMA Records, as well as the music video for Sabihin Mo Naman, which will be the carrier single. "Sa wakas! Hopefully [it will be released] by first week of February. These songs were done in 2011. I was already done with the recording and everything. I was [just] waiting for the mixing, the right timing. We just finished shooting the video yesterday. It's directed by Miggy Tanchanco."
