Pia Guanio-Mago opened up about their current situation at home as she looks after her husband Steeve Mago and daughter Scarlet who have both entered isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

“Because of God's grace and great love, both of them are experiencing very mild symptoms and are in good spirits. Thank you, Lord. We miss them badly but we are grateful they are healing and recovering well,” she wrote on Instagram today, January 12.

The Eat Bulaga mainstay coupled the post with a video showing how she and her loved ones communicate through distanced windows. Steeve is currently on his fifth day of isolation while Scarlet is on her fourth.

“Graduate [from isolation] na soon, please,” Pia pleaded from across their house.

While both Pia and Steeve are fully vaccinated, she shared that they still remain very cautious and obedient to the necessary health and safety protocols. “Knowing that we have kids who are still vulnerable and members of the household that have yet to get their jabs, we only really go out when it's absolutely necessary, and always with our masks and face shields. Getting vaccinated doesn't make you COVID-proof, it mitigates the effects should you catch it.”

On Tuesday, January 11, the Philippines exceeded the 3-million mark of cumulative COVID-19 cases since 2020 after the Department of Health (DOH) logged 28,007 new infections. Around 55 percent or 15,256 of the new cases were recorded from Metro Manila.
