Keith Martin, the 'Because of you' hitmaker, dies

American R&B singer-songwriter and record producer Keith Eric Martin has died. He was 55.

While details of his death are yet to be revealed, several celebrities have already made posts of condolences and disbelief at the untimely death of the legendary balladeer.

Former Viva hot babe Sheree Bautista made a series of posts about the singer whom she even had a recent collaboration with. On YouTube channel Sheree on Top TV, the sexy singer performed the song “Heaven Knows” which Keith wrote for her.

Singer-songwriter Thyro Alfaro said he will never forget Keith's inspiring words for him.

R&B singer Kris Lawrence also lamented the sudden loss of the singer who has been one of his inspirations in the industry.

Keth Martin rose to fame for singing and writing romantic love songs. He shot to global fame in the '90s during the time when some of the most beautiful love songs dominated the airwaves.

Some of his most timeless hits include “Never Find Someone Like You,” “Why Can't It be,” and “Forever Will Be” among many others.

He however achieved massive success through his monumental hit “Because of You.”

Keith has been living in the Philippines for years. While spending his days here, the international singer has been consistently collaborating with local artists like Jinky Vidal, Sheree Bautista, and Luke Mirajes to make good music.

One of his most recent sightings was at the wedding of singer Daryl Ong where he performed a Boyz II Men medley with local balladeers Michael Pangilinan, Thor Dulay, and even Daryl himself.

There is no official confirmation yet from the family as of writing as to the details of his death.
