Seulgi is the latest Red Velvet member to test positive for COVID-19

SM Entertainment has announced that Red Velvet's Seulgi has gotten a positive COVID-19 result today, March 30.

A couple of weeks ago, the agency confirmed days before the release of the group's brand-new single that Irene, Joy, and Yeri have contracted the highly-contagious disease.

Korean entertainment site Soompi published the statement from SM Entertainment saying that Seulgi has no symptoms and has already completed her two doses of COVID-19 shots, too.

Part of the statement reads:

“Seulgi has completed the second dose of her COVID-19 vaccines, and she is currently not exhibiting any particular symptoms. She has immediately halted her activities and is in self-isolation in accordance with the guidelines of the disease control authorities.

Meanwhile, Wendy is the only member who remains COVID-free, but she will still take additional PCR tests.

South Korea is in the midst of a COVID-19 surge brought about by the Omicron variant with the whole country surpassing over 12.7 million cases, the number of deaths now standing at 15,855 as of March 30.

In other news, Red Velvet's latest music video "Feel My Rhythm" has already earned over 22.8 million views on YouTube at this writing.
