Julie Anne San Jose says 'Limitless' has made her a better person

Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose says that ever since Limitless: A Musical Trilogy made its debut in September of last year with “Breathe,” she has only become a better person.

Speaking to a number of media outlets during a press conference for the streaming premiere of “Rise,” Julie Anne said that it was easy for her to say yes to Limitless because she felt that it was something that she needed at the time.

“Before, introverted ako as a person. Hindi ako ganoon talaga ka-expressive when it comes to my feelings. That's why I said yes to this project because I felt that I needed it. Through Limitless, I felt na mas naging bukas talaga ako. May mga bagay na unti-unting na-unfold,” she explained.

That unfolding, just like the musical trilogy, happened in stages, with Julie Anne saying her own emotional journey mirrored the titles of the different stages of Limitless.

“Nung umakyat ako ng bundok, I felt like I was ready to just take a leap. Nung part two hinarap ko yung mga kinatatakutan ko. Itong third part, na-let go ko na yung mga baggage na kailangan i-let go,” she explained.

She added, “Meron ding sense of liberation when you start to let go of things that have been weighing you down, mas gagaan talaga yung pakiramdam mo. Mas magiging better ka talaga as a person, kaya mas naging free ako.”

Aside from rising above the things that have been weighing her down, Julie Anne says “Rise” has also become an opportunity for her to rekindle connections that had to take a backseat because of the pandemic.

“Yung mga friends namin na hindi namin nakita for how many years nandoon, yung mga supporters ko na they've been asking me kailan ako magkakaroon ng show,” she gushed. “Nakakatuwa na nandoon lahat ng elements. Ang sarap ng feeling na nagsama-sama lahat sa part three.”

Set to stream on April 9 and 10, “Rise” will include the entirety of Limitless Live!, the in-person concert that was successfully staged at the SunLife Amphitheater in Bonifacio Global City.

Excitement for “Rise” is already evident from the comments left by fans on Julie Anne's Instagram account.
