'Limitless' wins Silver Award at the New York Festivals

Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose, along with the team behind the Limitless: A Musical Trilogy, continue to reap the rewards of their hard work as the production has been given the Silver Award for the Entertainment Special: Variety Special category at the 2022 New York Festivals TV and Film Awards.

GMA Synergy posted about the accolade on its Instagram account, expressing its pride at the team's work as well as Julie Anne's willingness to share her music, talent, and heart, to the rest of the country and the world.

On her own Instagram account, Julie Anne posted a video of her speech, where she said that the Limitless team, “along with every Filipino,” has shown the world that “we can rise above the challenges of this global pandemic.”

Julie Anne also wrote in the caption to the post that Limitless “reignited the fire” within her and helped her find herself again, something that she had previously expressed during the streaming premiere of “Limitless: Rise.”

“Before, introverted ako as a person. Hindi ako ganoon talaga ka-expressive when it comes to my feelings. That's why I said yes to this project because I felt that I needed it. Through Limitless, I felt na mas naging bukas talaga ako. May mga bagay na unti-unting na-unfold,” she explained.

Winning the Silver Award at the 2022 New York Festivals is certainly an added bonus for Julie Anne and the Limitless team, as being named a finalist was already overwhelming for them, according to Julie Anne.

“When the news was delivered to us, siyempre nagulat kami but at the same time, we were just so very overwhelmed kasi hindi rin biro na makapasok o mapabilang din sa shortlist sa New York Festivals,” she shared. “Surreal lang sobra at worth it lahat ng pagod at hard work. Nakakatuwa lang po kasi family ko na rin po itong Limitless team kaya nakakataba talaga ng puso kasi worth it po talaga lahat.”

With a win under their belt, the possibility of the Limitless team staging even more versions of the production is a possibility, especially since the team was able to come up with Limitless Live! in spite of it not being part of the initial plans for the musical trilogy.

Julie Anne has also expressed her own desire to possibly stage a bigger concert during an interview after the successful staging of Limitless Live!

“After this, I don't know what's going to happen next but there have been talks. We have been planning for a bigger concert hopefully. Sana mas maging okay lahat para tuloy-tuloy na,” she said.
