By Ron Lim

The Miss World Philippines Organization continues to subject its candidates to a number of challenges as the crowning of a new Miss World Philippines is set to happen two weeks from now. The latest challenge the queens underwent was the head-to-head challenge, with five finalists being named.

In posts on its social media accounts, the Miss World Philippines Organization announced the five women who emerged as finalists. They are candidates Angela Teng, Ashley Subijano Montenegro, Maria Gigante, Erika Kristensen, and Charyzah Esparrago. Just like the beach beauty competition, the organization says that the decision was reached after deliberations. The final winner of the head-to-head challenge will be announced later today as the five ladies face off at Twin Lakes, Tagaytay.

The head-to-head challenge is also a challenge in the main Miss World pageant. Tracy Maureen Perez, who will be giving up her Miss World Philippines 2021 crown, made it all the way to the finals of the Miss World head-to-head challenge.

Aside from the head-to-head challenge and the beach beauty competition, the contestants have also been subjected to the first photoshoot challenge that involved minimal makeup and up-close shots from the camera.

More challenge wins will make it easier for the contestants to win the crown from Tracy Maureen Perez who placed in the top 12 of the Miss World 2021 pageant.
