Director Darryl Yap and the cast of the film 'Maid in Malacañang' expressed gratitude to their supporters.

'Maid in Malacañang' earns 21 million on its first day at the cinemas, VIVA Films announced on Thursday (August 4).

The director of the movie, Darryl Yap expressed his gratitude to his supporters, the film production company, and the family of Marcos who trusted and chose him for the project.

Part of his post wrote: “Walang Hanggang Pasasalamat, Lord! Hindi lang sa biyaya at mga pagkakataon kundi sa mga balakid na iyong pinapahintulutan para ako ay mas tumatag at mahasa.

"Maraming Salamat sa tapang na iyong ipinagkaloob hindi lang sa mga artista kundi maging sa pamunuan ng VIVA Films.

"Sa Pamilya ng Marcos, sa Pamilya ng Del Rosario, sa aking Pamilya--at sa libu-libong pamilyang nanood sa unang araw sa takilya ng MAID IN MALACAÑANG, higit sa pasasalamat dahil sa suporta ay ang pasasalamat dahil sa pananalig..."

Meanwhile, the cast of the film, Cesar Montano, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Ella Cruz cannot contain their happiness for the great news and also took to their respective social media accounts their gratitude to their supporters.

“We're back !!! All glory to God !!!” Cesar Montano posted.

“Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng mga nanood pumila at sumuporta sa Maid in Malacañang” Ruffa Gutierrez said.

“NOSI BALASI MARAMING MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT PO SA INYONG LAHAT #MaidinMalacañang” Ella Cruz wrote in her caption.

'Maid in Malacañang' is a family crisis drama film that showcases the last 72 hours of the Marcos family in Malacañang Palace before fleeing to Hawaii during the 1986 People Power Revolution.
