Eraserheads to add more tickets, seats for their reunion concert

By Kristian Eric Javier

Fans looking forward to the reunion concert of the iconic band Eraserheads but missed out on buying their tickets are in for a treat. They are now given a chance to purchase once again almost a month after the initial ones were sold out.

Producers of the concert posted on the official Instagram account that they've expanded the venue, added more seats, and are selling more tickets.

“Due to the continuing demand for tickets, we've expanded our venue capacity!” the post read.

They also added that fans should not wait for the tickets to be sold out once more so that they can be “one of the fans who'll get to see this once-in-a-lifetime show.”

The concert, to be held on December 22, 2022, at the SMDC Festival Grounds, initially only sold 50,000 tickets which they started selling on October 5.

However, on October 10, the band's former frontman Ely Buendia expressed his thanks for their sold-out concert, five days after the tickets were sold to the public.

Aside from the additional tickets being sold, the producers also added a general admission section which costs PhP1,222, far from the previous lowest-priced ticket which is Bronze at PhP3,050.

While there are fans who are happy about the additional tickets and the Gen Ad section, there are also those who felt that it was unfair that they only announced the newest section now, when most have already bought the pricier ones.

Others, meanwhile, are looking for a way to upgrade either from the concert producers or by selling their current tickets to buy higher-tiered ones.

Some netizens, especially those from abroad, are also hoping that producers will look into selling tickets for a live online version as they have no means of going to the concert grounds.

Eraserheads is one of the most iconic bands in the Philippines composed of Ely, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raymund Marasigan. The band is well-known for songs like “Alapaap,” “Ligaya,” “Waiting for the Bus,” and the concert's namesake “Ang Huling El Bimbo.”
