After much anticipation, the first solo album of BTS's leader, RM, is finally dropping next month.
RM took to Instagram and Weverse the announcement that Indigo, his first solo album, is set to be released on December 2 at 2 p.m. KST (1 p.m. in Manila).
The group's record label, BIGHIT MUSIC, also released an official announcement on Weverse.
“We are excited to announce that RM, the leader of BTS, is preparing to release his first official solo album,” it said.
According to BIGHIT, RM “delivers his candid thoughts and feelings and showcases a wide-ranging music through collaborations with various artists” in the album.
The rapper-producer has released two mixtapes in the past, “RM” in 2015 and “Mono” in 2018.
RM previously talked about his first solo album nearing completion in a Rolling Stone interview with Pharrell Williams.
RM is the third BTS member to release his solo project.
In July, rapper-dancer J-hope dropped his first solo album Jack In The Box and late last month, vocalist Jin introduced his first solo single, “The Astronaut.”
Pre-orders for Indigo will begin on November 15 at 11 a.m. KST (10 a.m. in Manila).
We can't wait to listen to Indigo!
