SB19's Ken is kicking off the new year with a new solo single!
Under his moniker Felip, Ken made a solo comeback with new single called "ROCKSTA," which is also part of his upcoming EP, COMPLEX. The album will be released on February 3 under Warner Music Philippines.
Ken wrote and produced the song, which was influenced by hip-hop and R&B music. According to him, "ROCKSTA" is about motivating one's self.
"Ginawa ko kasi 'yung 'ROCKSTA' para ma-motivate 'yung sarili ko to be a better person. And if there's something you really love, aim to be the best," Ken said in an interview with Yes! The Best Manila.
He continued, "Kung mayroon ka talagang gustong-gustong gawin sa buhay mo, aim to be the best, iyon naman po 'yun e. I get no time to be lazy, I get no time to be disappointed in myself. Just pick up that mic and roar.
"And it's all about the feeling, hindi mo naman siya makikita na literal na rockstar ka talaga, hindi po e... it's all about the feeling, kung ano 'yung nararamdaman ko."
Ken, real name Felip Jhon Suson, is a Filipino singer, songwriter, dancer, producer, and member of phenomenal Pinoy boy band SB19. He made his official solo debut in 2021 with the song "Palayo."
