After starring in the recently concluded hit series Maria Clara at Ibarra, Dennis Trillo is already working on his next project, Love Before Sunrise. The Kapuso Drama King has been very busy the last few months. How does he manage to balance his time between work and family?

His secret? Time management and being physically fit.

“Time management, napaka-importante niyan at hindi mo magagawa 'yan kung mahina ang pangangatawan mo,” Dennis said during his interview on GMA Regional TV BizTalk, answering the question on how he manages his time as an actor and as a dad.

“Kailangan maging physically fit ka para magampanan mo 'yung mga tungkulin mo sa trabaho, pagkatapos nun, pag-uwi mo, magampanan mo pa rin 'yung tungkulin mo naman sa bahay,” he said.

He added, “Hindi puwedeng mapabayaan ang isa doon kaya kailangan magaling ka mag-balanse ng oras kung papaano mo siya hahatiin.”

In May 2022, Dennis and his wife, Jennylyn Mercado, welcomed their first child together, a healthy baby girl they named Dylan.

Now that he is preparing for his upcoming series, Dennis said his schedule is not as hectic yet, “Ok naman, ngayon medyo relax pa.”

“Hindi pa nagsa-start 'yung taping namin para sa bagong show kasama si Bea (Alonzo). Tapos si Jen naman, siguro in two to three months magsisimula 'yung show na nasimulan niya noon na tatapusin na niya ngayon,” he added.

Dennis revealed that whenever he and wife Jennylyn have free time and are not working, they stay at their rest house in Tanay, Rizal for a bit of fresh air.

“Makakabuti sa'min 'yung sariwang hangin tsaka sariwang pagkain habang nagpapahinga at nagpapalakas,” he added.
