Bukod kay David Licauco, isa na ring recording artist ng Universal Records ang Sparkle star na si Thea Astley.
Opisyal nang recording artist ng Universal Records si Sparkle star Thea Astley matapos siyang pumirma ng kontrata sa record label noong March 21.
Nakasama ni Thea sa contract signing sina GMA Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes, Sparkle Assistant Vice President Joy Marcelo, Sparkle Talent Manager Jan Navarro, Universal Records Philippines Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go, at Universal Records Philippines Vice President for Operations Peter Chan.
Sa interview ng GMANetwork.com, ibinahagi ni Thea ang excitement na ma-perform soon ang mga kantang isinulat niya.
"It is my first recording contract, grabe nakakakilig pang sabihin 'yun. And I'm really happy," sabi niya.
"Hopefully, iyon 'yung mga pinag-uusapan po namin ngayon. Will be doing some listening sessions, hopefully meeting with producers who fit my sound. Hopefully, really soon," dagdag ni Thea.
Ayon kay Thea, naiiba sa ballad at birit, na karaniwang naririnig sa kanya, ang mga kantang ilalabas niya sa Universal Records.
"Very different po sa laging naririnig sa akin sa All-Out Sundays kasi mostly puro ballad, birit. Pero 'yung mga sarili ko po kasing sulat, ang genre more R&B pop, R&B soul, very different siya pero hopefully, kiligin pa rin ang mga listeners."
Sa interview, ibinahagi rin ni Thea ang mga gusto pang maabot sa industriya, tulad na lamang ng pagkakaroon ng sariling concert.
"Siyempre, gusto ko po na ma-release 'yung music ko and, hopefully, someday in the future to have my concert," pagtatapos niya.
