SEVENTEEN's Hoshi drops melancholic cover of DAY6's 'Hurt Road'

By Jashley Ann Cruz

SEVENTEEN's self-proclaimed horanghae (tiger) Hoshi got in touch with his feelings and dropped a pensive cover of K-pop boy group DAY6's somber song “Hurt Road."

On a random Tuesday night, the fun and goofy Hoshi surprised his Carats with a moving rendition of DAY6's track “Hurt Road” which was released by the boy group last 2018 as part of their Remember Us: Youth Part 2 album.

The rock ballad of misplaced feelings is said to foreshadow the plot of the album's title track “Days Gone By."

The wistful lyrics paint a picture of a gloomy person trying to pin down his/her feelings. With the admission that the way of life is not always smooth flowing, he/she tries to seek a warm embrace and a shoulder to cry on.

Hoshi has always been a passionate and creative artist whose talent in dancing and creating choreographies goes beyond the adjective “impeccable." This time around, he proves that he's an all-rounder artist who can sing and hit the notes like his co-BSS members DK and Seungkwan who are also the main vocals of SEVENTEEN.

Carats couldn't be more proud of their horanghae who has come a long way. Fans worldwide also felt the love and care from Hoshi, even though they're miles apart, as they gave them a warm embrace on a long, mundane day.

Check out their reactions to the cover below.

For the past few months, Carats heard cover songs from SEVENTEEN members Seungkwan, DK, Jun, and Hoshi, who's up next?
