pia wurtzback speaks up about family feud

“This is a very hurtful time for our family,” says Pia Wurtzbach as she finally addresses the ongoing feud between her sister and mother.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is asking her fans to be mindful of what they say towards her sister, Sarah Wurtzbach, as she finally opens up about the ongoing conflict between the latter and their mother, Cheryl Alonzo Tyndall.

On Instagram, the former beauty queen posted a photo of her family and addressed the public about what's happening internally within their household.

“I'm sure a lot of you know that my family is going through some issues at the moment and most of it is posted online,” she said.

“This is a very hurtful time for our family.”

Pia continued, “My sister, especially, had a very traumatic experience and I humbly ask everyone to be kind to her.

“We are trying to resolve our family issues privately and I ask for your support by not trying to put the blame on anyone and to stop victim-shaming.”

The 31-year-old then asked the public to keep their hurtful words to themselves as this does not help the situation they are currently in.

In October, Sarah Wurtzbach lashed out her frustrations towards her sister Pia and their mother, Cheryl, on social media.

While she has already apologized for her actions and rekindled her relationship with her sister, Sarah said her actions were brought by years of keeping the “pain from within.”

On October 31, Pia and Sarah's mother went on record about her side of the story through her personal YouTube channel.

The Alonzo matriarch denied all the allegations made by Sarah and believes her youngest daughter still loves her.

“I love my daughters. I don't believe that she [Sarah] hates me so much. I know she loves me. I still believe that.

“Iyon lang po ang masasabi namin sa ngayon. Marami pong taong mapanamanatala. Biktima rin op ako.

“Kaya ayun lang po. Mahal ko ang mga anak ko.”
