Jaclyn Jose's management has confirmed the actress' death
The night of March 3, 2024 became a night of mourning for Philippine television and cinema as veteran actress Jaclyn Jose was found lifeless in her home in Quezon City.
According to reports, she was visited in her home after being unresponsive to her relatives' calls and messages. She was found lifeless shortly after.
Jaclyn's colleague, Senator Jinggoy Estrada, first confirmed the initial news of her passing, before the actress' entertainment agency, PPL Entertainment Inc., released the news on their official Instagram account.
PPL Entertainment Inc. wrote: “It saddens us to inform everyone of the untimely passing of Miss Jaclyn Jose (real name Mary Jane Guck).”
They also assured that “more details will be shared as soon as they are available.”
As of the moment, they are requesting everyone to pray for and respect the privacy of Guck and Eigenmann families in their time of mourning.
“The Guck and Eigenmann families are requesting for everyone to please pray for the eternal repose of Miss Jaclyn Jose and for them to be allowed the respect and privacy to mourn her passing, and navigate these difficult times.” they wrote in their Instagram post.
Jaclyn Jose was a multi-awarded Filipina actress known for her roles in The Flor Contemplacion Story, Service, and Ma' Rosa where she was awarded the Best Actress award at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
She recently starred in GMA Network's Magpakailanman, Alyas Robin Hood (2016-2017), The Millionaire's Wife (2016), and Bolera with Kylie Padilla.
