RAINFALL ALERT: Yellow in Zambales, Bataan due to Habagat (Sunday, 11 pm)

A yellow rainfall warning has been raised over Zambales and parts of Bataan by PAGASA on Sunday evening.

According to the state weather bureau’s heavy rainfall advisory issued at 11 p.m., flooding is possible in flood-prone areas of the following locations: Zambales and Bataan (Dinalupihan, Abucay, Samal, Orani, Hermosa, Morong).

PAGASA said that within the next three hours, light to moderate rain with occasional heavy rains are expected over Laguna and Quezon (General Nakar, Dolores, Candelaria, Tiaong, San Antonio, Sariaya, Real, Infanta).

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain with occasional heavy rains affecting the following areas are forecast to persist within three hours and affect nearby areas:

• Tarlac
• Pampanga
• Nueva Ecija
• Bulacan
• Metro Manila
• Bataan (Bagac, Balanga, Limay, Mariveles, Orion, Pilar), Batangas(Nasugbu, Lian, Tuy, Balayan, Calatagan)
• Cavite (Maragondon, Ternate, Naic, Tanza, General Trias, Rosario, Noveleta, Cavite City, Kawit, Bacoor, Imus, Magallanes, Trece Martires)
• Rizal (Rodriguez, San Mateo, Antipolo, Cainta, Taytay, Angono, Binangonan, Teresa, Morong, Cardona)

Several areas have suspended classes on Monday, August 17, due to the bad weather.

PAGASA advised the public and concerned Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices to monitor the weather conditions. — BAP, GMA News
