Ayon kay Rachel Alejandro, hindi naman niya naging choice ang hindi magkaroon ng anak.
“It wasn't something kasi na I chose, it just happened that way.”
Iyan ang naging pahayag ng singer at actress na si Rachel Alejandro tungkol sa hindi nila pagkakaroon ng anak ng asawang si Carlos Santamaria.
“Everyday kasi, life is about choices that you make every day. Pinipili mo 'yun e hanggang one day, you wake up, you're too old. You're too old to have a baby na and dumating ako du'n during the pandemic,” sabi ni Rachel sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda nitong Huwebes, April 18.
Ayon kay Rachel dumating sa punto noong pandemic na kinuwestyon niya ang kaniyang life choices nang mawalan siya ng trabaho noong pandemic.
“Two years wala work e, walang singing engagements and parang I lost my purpose, so I was so depressed, so I questioned my choices,” sabi niya.

Dagdag pa ng aktres, “One of them was having a family, parang I thought na parang, 'Would life have more meaning if at least meron akong iniintindi ngayon na ngayong wala akong work?'”
Pinuna rin ni Rachel na maaaring maraming magulang ang nabigla noong pandemic dahil stuck sila kasama ang mga anak nila sa bahay dahil sa lockdown. Maaaring magulo umano sa bahay, ani Rachel, “pero may purpose sila.”
“'I have to do this, I have to wake up every day, I have to put food on the table.' Samantalang ako, nanonood lang ako ng mga series,” sabi niya.
Sinabi rin ni Rachel na si Carlos naman talaga ang “mas definite na ayaw” magkaroon ng anak.
