Kris Aquino turns down proposal of Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste

By Cherry Sun

The practice of physical distancing was no excuse for Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste to express his feelings for Kris Aquino, but the Queen of All Media was simply determined to turn down his proposal.

Kris admitted to being overwhelmed with feelings as the practice of social distancing almost compares to emotional detachment.

She revealed this via an Instagram post and invited her followers to discuss with her.

She wrote, “Siguro 'social distancing' is making us feel lonely, kaya maraming #hugot posts... pati ako super #emo yung playlist that I've been listening to, #honest lang.

"Para maging mas simple ang buhay, siguro magandang sundin ang payo ng artcard na 'to... mag love life forum tayo, let's chat, straight from the heart? Sino yung mga #blessed na nakapili at pinili na?”

The artcard read, "Choose who choose you."

As Kris was expecting honesty from her followers, she received a confession from the vice governor.

Mark wrote with a yellow heart emoji, “I choose you.”

However, Kris was quick to reject the proposal.

She said, “No thank you, no offense.”

The netizens still rooted for a romance between the two personalities, but Kris had her reasons not to get into a relationship for the moment.

She explained, “It's not healthy to entertain someone when you know in your heart that feelings for another haven't been totally extinguished--I think the saying is when you know there are still broken fragments, don't make someone else pick up the pieces--he'll end up getting hurt and you won't become whole again.

"Repairing what's broken is a job only for the one who still grieves because the new person had nothing to do with what is your personal pain from the past… Unless I resolve that, I have no business letting someone new into my life. My heart has to know there are absolutely no leftover feelings.”

Kris Aquino explains why it's not healty for her to entertain a relationship.

Kris further added that she didn't like how the vice governor was communicating with her.

She said, “He wasn't very polite with his text messages and to quote Jennifer Aniston from way back--there was a 'sensitivity chip missing' that's why I chose the safe out--bringing up someone from the past--it's much more proper because nobody is to blame. Hindi ako nabobola sa IG comment. Words mean very little when not backed by action.”

Kris Aquino explains why she's particulary not giving Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste a chance.

Mark accepted Kris's response, saying, “Thank you for being honest and open! #nakapili pero hindi #pinili.”
