Rhian Ramos is making sure that close friend Michelle Dee knows her hard work to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown doesn't go unnoticed.

In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Rhian posted a video of some of Michelle's key moments during the Miss Universe Philippines coronation night, and then wrote a lengthy caption to congratulate her friend.

In the caption, Rhian shared that she “couldn't be happier” now that Michelle's “destiny” has come for her this year. She also shared that their friend group, which includes Max Collins and Janina Manipol, saw the “countless hours of hard work and self-improvement” that Michelle had to undergo on her journey to the Miss Universe Philippines crown.

Michelle herself has reflected on the “difficult” year that lead up to her winning the crown. According to the beauty queen, she had to take responsibility for two households due to her parents' accidents, as well as becoming the primary caregiver to her two autistic siblings.

With her win, Michelle will now be representing the country in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador. Michelle will be bringing with her a “lifelong mission” to advocate for autism awareness, something that was consistently shown during the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

Aside from wearing the colors of autism awareness during her Runway Challenge, Michelle also took part in the annual Angels Walk held by the Autism Society Philippines. The Autism Society Philippines is “a national non-profit dedicated to the well-being of Filipinos who live on autism spectrum and those who care for them.”
