Riel Lomadilla is thankful for the opportunity to work in two Kapuso shows simultaneously. One of these is the newest sitcom 'Open 24/7.'
Fil-Nigerian actress and singer Riel Lomadilla was in disbelief after getting the heads up that she is part of the much-awaited sitcom Open 24/7 starring Jose Manalo, Maja Salvador, and Vic Sotto.
The XOXO member bagged the role of Bekbek.
Riel told the entertainment reporters during Open 24/7's grand media conference last week that she thought it was a “scam” when her Sparkle handler told her the news about this sitcom.
“Nung nakita ko po 'yung text ng handler ko sa akin namalikmata ako, akala ko fake news. Akala ko fake news or baka nakatatlong basa po ako, kasi kala ko go see or audition.
"'Tapos, tinawagan ko siya [pertaining to her handler], 'Ate, sure ka ba talaga?' Baka, katulad kagaya kay Bruce [Roeland] scam, ganun. Kasi, hindi ako makapaniwala kasi po nagti-taping din po ako ngayon ng isa pong afternoon prime show.”
Aside from Open 24/7, the former The Clash alumna is also a cast member in the afternoon series Magandang Dilag beauty queen and comedienne Herlene Budol.
She added, “'Tapos 'di ko po sukat akalain na wow, mabibigyan ako ng isa pang show na sobrang blessed.
"I mean, hindi naman po ako big star, baguhan lang naman po ako. So, sabi ko, 'Wow, puwede pala 'yun na magtaping ng dalawa'. Nakakatuwa po talaga.”

Completing the stellar cast are Kapuso love team Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay; and Sparkle heartthrobs Anjay Anson, Kimson Tan, Abed Green, and Bruce Roeland.
Open 24/7 will air its pilot episode beginning May 27, right after #MPK (Magpakailanman) on Sabado Star Power sa gabi.
