Carats, rejoice! K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN has, once again, made history in the sphere of K-pop as their recently released album FML officially sold over 6 million copies and became the best-selling Korean album of all time.
This July 5, YG PLUS, SEVENTEEN's official album distributor confirmed the good news and announced that FML had already gone over 6.2 million copies sold. This once-in-a-lifetime achievement has cemented their stance as the global sensations of today's generation.
With this, they have officially become the first K-pop artist to sell over 6 million copies of one album and FML has been branded as the best-selling Korean album of all time.
SEVENTEEN released FML last April 24, 2023 and has since then garnered numerous accolades. It set a new record for the highest first-week sales of any album in Hanteo history, broke the record for the highest first-day sales, and became the boy band's highest-ranking album on Billboard 200, debuting at No.2.
Truly SEVENTEEN's success as talented K-pop artists knows no bounds as they continuously break records all while gifting their Carats with quality music.
The thing about SEVENTEEN is that you can spot their heart at the core of everything they do. Every member of the boy band is passionate about the craft and has worked hard to get where they are right now. Their road to success was gradual as it should be and this helped them bask in it without getting too overwhelmed.
