Megastar Sharon Cuneta has spoken out against claims linking her and her husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan in the alleged flood control scam.

Sharon branded the accusations as “lies” and called as “liars” those who presented a photograph of her and Kiko in relation to flood control projects and alleged anomalies.

She wrote in the caption of her latest social media post, “Mga sinungaling!!! Sobra talaga kayo!!!! I vlogged about this visit my family and I made to Marawi to thank the Governor, Mayor, and other officials, and their families for their support for Kiko.”

The celebrity mom then questioned the credibility of accusations, saying she finds it hard to believe that a suitcase which allegedly filled with cash would have been handed over during such a highly publicized visit.

“Talaga ba? Magbibigay kayo ng maleta sa amin sa Marawi pa?” she wrote.

She further defended her family's reputation saying they have always worked hard and earned their money the right way.

Sharon wrote, “Eto nagte-taping pa ako ngayon. Nagbabanat pa rin ng buto at lumalaban ng patas, dahil lahat ng meron kami, pinaghirapan namin.”

Following this, Sharon and Kiko uploaded a video in which they continued to address the issue and once again denied the allegations. The video showed the real scenarios on their visit to Marawi.

Meanwhile, Sharon is gearing up for GMA and ABS-CBN's collaboration series Honor Thy Mother.
