SHINee's Minho shares that TWICE's “Fancy” became the background music of his military life! We love a fanboy!

SHINee's Minho is officially back to civilization after being discharged from military service on Sunday, November 15.

To celebrate his return, he hosted his first V Live broadcast the following day and shared a few memories from his military service.

Titled “MINHO: I'm Home,” the K-pop idol said hello to fans while wearing his uniform and shared how he's still adjusting to his life after being under the Marine Corps for 19 months.

“When I was in the military, I watched everything -- from Taemin's comeback broadcast to the ones where Onew and Key were on.

“Sadly, while I was watching, it would be time for me to hand in my phone,” he added.

Mid-broadcast, Onew appeared in the studio with a cake that took Minho by surprise.

Being the leader, Onew praised Minho's good looks in the broadcast, to which the latter replied, “I took good care of my looks throughout my service. I did a face pack each day!”

The two SHINee members then moved forward with their topic, with Minho mentioning that TWICE's “Fancy” defined his military life.

He explained, “TWICE's 'Fancy' was released at the time. My fellow soldiers were big fans of the song. So, it was the background music of my military life.

“I'm grateful to all the Korean girl groups. You give officers in the armed forces a lot of strength.”

Known for his passion for service, Minho was later asked what particular military experience made him feel very proud.

To which he answered, “I went to help people who had suffered damage because of the typhoon.”

According to the singer, taking part in different civil duties made him feel “proud.”

“I helped a struggling elderly man whose farm had been damaged. So I gave everything I've got and worked hard that day. He gave me bibimbap as a snack, and I felt proud,” he continued.

Eventually, when it came for Onew to leave and the broadcast to end, Minho changed his uniform into a more stylish outfit.

He went on to say, “I feel awkward wearing this. Even this morning, I felt like I was just on vacation.

“It doesn't feel real. I think I'll keep feeling like this for another one or two weeks.”
