The Master Cutter actress Shuvee Etrata captured the hearts of Bulakeños as she headlined this year's Santacruzan in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, taking on the prestigious title of Reyna de las Flores.
On Instagram, Shuvee shared photos of herself dressed in an exquisite white Filipiniana ensemble, accompanied by a powerful message of empowerment and gratitude, coinciding with the celebration of Mother's Day.
She opened her post by thanking the community that invited her to be a sagala, saying: “Maraming Salamat, Sta. Maria. Bulacan!”
The Kapuso actress also shared her reflections on the event. Rather than focusing solely on the glitz and glamour of being a sagala, she dedicated her walk to the resilient women in her life and the community.
“As this year's Reyna de las Flores in the Santacruzan of Sta. Maria, Bulacan, I dedicate this moment to all the women who carry love, strength, and sacrifice so gracefully every day,” she expressed.
Shuvee also extended her greetings not just to biological mothers, but to breadwinners, elder sisters, and women who provide maternal care in various forms.
According to her, the reality for women today is that they become strong not merely out of personal choice, but because life has called them to be strong for their loved ones to provide for them.
“Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, breadwinners, ates, and women with motherly hearts,” she wrote.
She continued, “Some of us became strong not because we wanted to, but because life called us to be. And despite everything, we still choose to nurture, provide, protect, and love.”
Shuvee ended her tribute by honoring every woman: “Today is for every woman silently carrying so much with grace.”
