Katy Perry notices Jayda Avanzado's 'Thinking of You' cover on TikTok

Jayda Avanzado is over the moon after Katy Perry noticed her cover of “Thinking of You” uploaded on TikTok.

Katy commented on Jayda’s cover of her track and wrote, “When I’m listening to my version of ‘Thinking of You,’ I am thinking of your version of ‘Thinking of You.’”

As a solid fangirl, Jayda responded to Katy’s comment in a separate post while teary-eyed.

“I just woke up, and I already want to cry,” she said. “Katy, you don’t know how much this means to me.”

“I really appreciate you acknowledging my cover, you’re one of my biggest influences ever as an artist, as a vocalist, and it just means the world to me,” she added.

In April, Katy released the director’s cut of the music video for “Thinking of You,” 15 years after the song was first released.

Jayda is the unica hija of veteran singers Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado, who have been married since 2001.

In March, Dingdong surprised Jessa with a vow renewal ceremony for their 25th wedding anniversary, which he organized with the help of their daughter.
