Silent Sanctuary shares things they learned after being in the industry for over two decades.

OPM rock band Silent Sanctuary started a new chapter in their journey by renewing ties with Universal Records on Monday, September 9.

They held a special contract signing event in Quezon City with entertainment media and expressed their excitement about the partnership ahead.

“Excited ako na makatrabaho ang [Universal Records], at the same time, looking forward din kami sa mga puwede naming gawin kasi, I think, 'yung potential namin as a band, [...] I think magiging better 'yung banda…” Silent Sanctuary's synthesizer Poch Villalon said.

Silent Sanctuary also sat down for an interview with the press and answered a few questions like their advice to the new generation of OPM bands and artists.

On top of this, he also left songwriting advice.

The frontman said this is a usual event among songwriters as some would be forced to finish a song, which could result in less-quality music.

“Ang nagyayari, kahit tapos 'yung kanta, hilaw,” he said, “Parang walang depth, parang walang feeling, parang walang emotion.”

Lastly, the band reminded rising artists to love their craft, dedicate themselves to music, and never stop working to improve their artistry. This also includes being “genuine” and “honest” to their image and sound as bands.
