Bryan Adams has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Canadian singer-songwriter learned about the diagnosis after landing in Milan, Italy, to promote Pirelli's 2022 calendar, which he had shot.
This is the second time this month that Adams had contracted the virus.
“Here I am, just arrived in Milano, and I've tested positive for the second time in a month for COVID,” Adams wrote on Instagram.
“So it's off to the hospital for me. Thanks for all your support.”
Adams first tested positive for the virus on October 30, forcing him to back out from his duet with Tina Turner as part of the ceremony for the latter's induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
It was revealed that Adams is fully vaccinated and did not exhibit any symptoms.
Adams popularized the songs “Heaven,” “Do I Have to Say the Words?,” “Straight from the Heart,” and “Please Forgive Me,” among others.
Aside from being a musician, Adams is also a photographer and his work for Pirelli's 2022 calendar saw him take pictures of other musicians including Cher, Rita Ora, St. Vincent, and Iggy Pop.
Meanwhile, here are some of the concerts and events that were postponed last year at the height of the pandemic.
