Jeon Somi makes her first global pop hit with "What You Waiting For"
Right after news came out that Korean-Canadian-Dutch singer Jeon Somi has signed a contract with Interscope Records, her latest music video "What You Waiting For" has been released.
The video features Somi in a synth-pop production with a powerhouse chorus, showing a more confident Somi embracing different looks.
The music video combines her bubbly, youthful side in colorful visuals with a more mature side in dark, elegant aesthetic.
It's also been more than a year since her Billboard hit "Birthday" came out and Somi's development as an artist is also seen in her new track where the 19-year-old Somi is also credited as a songwriter and producer.
