It is sometimes shocking for parents to see how much their children grow up in a short span of time.
And last October 18, Vanessa Matsunaga's son, David, celebrated his 2nd birthday.
Vanessa, sister of Brapanese model-actor Daniel Matsunaga, took to Instagram to greet her “little lion” on his special day.
The celebrity mom posted, “Happy birthday my little mane man! We are very proud of you. You are so brave, funny, full of energy and enthusiasm you truly turn simple moments into memorable experiences. Mommy loves you so much and is very thankful for you.
Vanessa adds that David is an answered prayer, too.
“Always remember that you are an answered prayer and that to me, you will always be my little baby boy. Now that you are becoming your own person, our days are even more filled with joy and laughter.
“You are so interesting and I thank God for gifting me with such a fun spirited kid. Happy birthday David, the Lion!”
Meanwhile, tito Daniel Matsunaga expressed how much he loves his nephew and made a promise to him that he will always be there no matter what.
“Yesterday [October 18] was the birthday of this little boy!! my nephew David! was busy giving him many dinosaurs so i wasnt able to post heheehe
“Tito Dandan loves u very much and will always be here for you! hope when u grow up u will remember tito ahhahahha happy birthdayyyy.”

Photographer and businessman Jun Sunga is already looking forward to the exciting journey in store for his son David in the coming years.
He writes on Instagram, “Happy 2nd birthday my son. Proud of you and excited for your journey. You bring so much joy to all of us. May God continue to protect, bless and lead you. We love you, little king.”
Vanessa tied the knot with Jun in November 2010, at the Bellarroca Island Resort and Spa in Marinduque.
She then gave birth to her daughter Bella on March 11, 2016 and two years later they welcomed her baby boy David.
