Months after his breakup with It's Showtime host, Kim Chiu, Xian Lim finally spoke up about his relationship status with Viva Films senior associate producer, Iris Lee, and ended all the allegations about him.

Xian confirmed his relationship with Iris and emphasized it started only after his breakup with Kim. He shared the details of their relationship in an exclusive interview with Esquire Magazine released last May 2, and said that they are “very happy.”

“Yes, I'm seeing Iris,” Xian said, “Just to clear everything, to clear all the speculations. We are seeing each other and we are very happy.”

In the same interview, Xian Lim also addressed all the cheating and marriage allegations and said there were not any truths in there. He also said that he read an article about him living with someone for many years, and called it "absurd."

Consequently, Xian felt confused about the series of flak he received after his breakup with Kim, especially when some people got involved, including his new partner, Iris.

“Ang busy-busy ni Iris, ang busy-busy ko. She has a lot on her plate, and I have a lot on my plate. And, you know, she doesn't deserve all that flak. We don't deserve that because all the things na people are saying, there's no truth to any of it,” Xian said.

Before he confirmed his relationship with Iris, some netizens associated Xian and his relationship with Kim Chiu with the Taxi Cab theory because of the marriage allegations.

According to the theory, men only marry when they are ready, which could be their current (and long-term) relationship or the one they knew only for a short time but felt a sense of “spark” between them.

The actor squashed all the comments and said, “Of course, there's that initial thinking na parang, 'Swak ba tayo?' But me, I'm all out na parang this is for the long-term. We are going to work through this hanggang sa dulo.”

He also said that he could not grasp the idea of the theory, “That's my vision, that's my perception on finding a partner, about finding love in general. So that taxicab theory, parang hindi ko lang siya masakyan. But that's just me, that's how I love. Kung magmahal ako, lubos, buong kaluluwa.”
