EXCLUSIVE: Bing Loyzaga gives no special treatment to nephew Gil Cuerva on the set of 'Beautiful Justice'
Actress Bing Loyzaga is all business whenever she is working with her nephew Gil Cuerva in the upcoming series Beautiful Justice.
The high-caliber actress will play the villain Charmaine Tan, the head of the drug syndicate, in the GMA Telebabad series.
In a chance interview with GMANetwork.com, she revealed that she doesn't give Gil any 'special treatment'.
Bing explains, “Very few people know that we are related, that he is my nephew. So siyempre sa family gatherings loka-loka ako dun, funny. Pero nung nag-training kami, nung umpisa siyempre I was asking him kung kumain na siya, ano oras siya dumating, the usual.
“Pero nung training na itself, wala ibang tao na ako. Work mode na ako.
“Kasi hindi ako nandito para bantayan ka, nandito para maging kasama mo sa trabaho. So, I was watching out for him naman kahit hindi ako hands on. I was checking on him.”
But it was also exciting for her to see that her nephew is 'focused' while they are working.
“Pero, I can see naman he gives a 100% so wala akong mareklamo, naka-focus siya.”
Meanwhile, Gil is thankful that he got the chance to work with his Tita Bing. He added that it is a nice environment to have someone he could approach and talk to whenever he can.
“It's a blessing na makasama ko si Tita Bing, a relative in the show. Someone I feel very safe with, someone that I feel I can be myself with.”
When asked if he feels any pressure working on his third soap for GMA-7, Gil quickly replied, “Honestly, this is my third show I'm not really feeling any pressure. I think also because this show highlights more of the three girls (Yasmien Kurdi, Bea Binene and Gabbi Garcia), this is really their show.”
